Vatel really trained me because they showed me what the real world is like, in terms of modular terms and practicum. We were only in our 2nd year and we already started with our practicum. And also the professors, they always gave us real examples and stories. Vatel had such a huge influence on my career decisions, especially because of my professors. Sir Acuna, Ms. Chuchi, Ms. Marie, Ms. Brodit. They greatly influenced our batch because they were always there to give advice even after classes.
And those modular terms and practicums also proved to be the most memorable because that’s when the whole batch becomes close. Because we’re all just in one room and then we spend the entire day there, so that’s the most memorable for me, when we’d all take our lunch together, our dinner, and then we’d all go home at the same time too.
Right after college I applied to different hotels, and then just a month after graduation, I got hired at Conrad as a management trainee. And now I'm continuing the 18 month program, so until 2020 I'll be training with them. As part of the program, I’m currently moving between departments and my future plan is to stay with Hilton properties.
